Michael Tobias is a co-founder and board member of Jewish Records Indexing-Poland and Vice President, Programming of JewishGen, Inc. He was Database Matching consultant to the International Commission on Holocaust Era Insurance Claims. Michael assisted Steve Morse with Ellis Island search projects and has contributed to various journals, radio and television programs including "Who Do You Think You Are?" in both the UK and the United States. He has spoken at IAJGS conferences and in 2011 received its "LIfetime Achievement Award". He has a Masters Degree in Genealogical, Palaeographic and Heraldic Studies at Strathclyde University and a BSc with Honors in Mathematics and Physics and is a Fellow the UK Faculty of Actuaries.
