About Jona Schellekens

Jona Schellekens is Louis & Pearl Rose Professor in Medical Sociology at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where he teaches a course on genealogy. His wife is a descendant of Lazarus Polatschick, who visited the Leipzig Trade Fair in the 1750s and 1760s. His ancestors also visited the fair, but from Hamburg. He has published two previous articles on the visitors to the fair in Gens Nostra and Misjpoge (in Dutch).
