Alan Steinfeld, MD, is a retired radiation oncologist who has been researching the family trees of family and friends since the late 1970s. He has taught genealogy at various levels and in varied settings over the past 25 years and currently facilitates the Kol Ami Genealogy Group at Congregation Kol Ami in White Plains, New York.
